The following photos and commentary are from a fellow pezhead, Sarah,
who recently made a trip to the Pez Factory in Traun, Austria!
She was kind enough to let me feature them on PEZ Central.
You can contact Sarah here for any questions!

"Many thanks to Silvia Biermayr and Gerhard Trebbin for their help in getting
my mom and I to the factory and most of all, for helping us to get a tour!
Pezheads certainly are a great group of people!"

"Here I am in the front office of PEZ Co."

"Each of these PEZ bricks has been X-rayed and weighed
to make sure each is pure and they are all uniform in size."

"Here's a closeup of ALL THAT PEZ!!!! YUM!"

"Here I am with a tub of PEZ...it was hard to control myself!"

"Boxes upon boxes full of PEZ candy!!!!"

"This is the machine that packages the candy into little rolls.  Note the roll of labels to the right of the woman's head, and all the candies by her hands.  The enclosed part in front is where the candies are wrapped and the labels are heated to seal the glue."

"This is the machine wrapping cherry PEZ(left photo).  The rolled cherry PEZ are coming out at the bottom. Another picture of the machine wrapping the orange PEZ.(shown on right)"

"Freshly wrapped orange PEZ!  I got to sample some fresh PEZ
here, and it was the tastiest PEZ I've ever eaten!"

"This worker is laying the individual dispensers into bubbles,
like the ones on the Japanese bubble cards."

Left photo: "Here the machine is putting the cards onto the backs of the bubbles"
Right photo: "Lots of boxes of carded PEZ, and the carded Peanuts PEZ on their way down the line to be boxed up and shipped out."

"Oh no!  Gerhard, Phillip and Silvia are playing in the PEZ!"

"A box of discarded PEZ...they were all broken or missing parts.  It's amazing with all the people and machines inspecting the PEZ that mistakes still get out onto the store shelves!"

"This bag of PEZ is bigger than Phillip!"
